Ace of Hearts Ranch features beautiful forested trails for horseback riding and hiking on the ranch and beach rides at Canaveral National Seashore. The petting zoo has goats, chickens and pigs. Blue Spring State Park is the most significant winter warm water refuge for endangered manatees in Florida. As many as 100 manatees may be seen in the crystal clear waters of the spring after a major winter cold front. The 400 acres of restored upland habitat is home to many threatened Florida Scrub Jay families as well as Indigo Snakes and Gopher Tortoises. Brevard Zoo is one of the nation’s finest small zoos. Shaded boardwalks windthroughthemed habitats featuring over 400 animals. Canaveral National Seashore offers the longest stretch of pristine, undeveloped beach on Florida’s East Coast. Tours by rangers can be arranged for Turtle Mound, historic Eldora Statehouse and Seminole Rest. Seminole Rest is a 4,000 year-old Indian shell mound topped by two pioneer homes.
